As the Chief Geology Officer of the company, Michael Dufresne brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the role. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology, an M.Sc. in Economic Geology, and has been a registered Professional Geologist (P.Geol.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) since 1989.

 

With a career spanning over 30 years as a consulting geologist, Michael has played a pivotal role in conducting and directing exploration programs for both junior and major exploration companies. His extensive work has covered a diverse range of commodities, including precious metals such as gold and silver, base metals like copper and zinc, as well as uranium, diamonds, and industrial minerals. His professional journey has taken him across Canada, the USA, Central and South America, and Australia.

 

Michael has a proven track record in developing Technical Reports, Valuation Reports, and NI 43-101 reports for both private and public companies, covering projects in the early to advanced exploration stages. Notably, he was a key member of exploration teams credited with the discovery of significant deposits, including the George Lake – Goose Lake gold deposits in Nunavut, the Three Bluffs gold deposit in Nunavut, and the Perseverance gold deposit in the Coolgardie area of Western Australia.

 

Since 2012, Michael has been actively engaged in numerous projects in the USA, particularly in Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, and California. His contributions have included property evaluations, the design and execution of exploration programs, completion of mineral resource estimates, and preparation of NI 43-101 Technical Reports. Michael has played a direct role in the feasibility and assessments of several Nevada-based Carlin and volcanic hosted gold deposits, such as Railroad, North Bullion, Pinion, Dark Star, Pony, Mineral Ridge, Pan, Gold Rock, Battle Mountain, Northumberland, Iceberg, Manhattan, Camp Douglas, East Bailey, Reward, Mt Hamilton, Bolo, Kinsley Mountain, and others.

 

Michael's capabilities and expertise make him an invaluable asset to Grizzly Discoveries, contributing significantly to the company's success in the field of geology and exploration.
